Guidelines for Users

 

Criteria for Samples

  • FESEM – thin films or dry solids
  • SEM – thin films or dry solids
  • TEM – thin films or dry solids on TEM grid


  • Request for Instrument Training

    Interested students/staff from Faculty of Science, NUS should request through email to the staff in-charge. Invitation will be sent once training schedule is confirmed.

  • FESEM – 2 hour training and 1 hour practice & test
  • SEM – 1 hour training & practice
  • TEM – 1 hour basic operation training and 1 hour practice & test


  • Booking of Instrument

    Booking of the following instruments is opened to authorized users only on a first-come, first-served basis. Parties who wish to have their samples analyzed by staff-in-charge could send their request for analysis through email.

  • FESEM – every Thursday, 8.30am onwards
  • SEM – every Thursday, 8.30am onwards
  • TEM – via email
