Chemistry Medals and Book Prizes

Students studying Chemistry and Applied Chemistry (BSc, BApplSc, BSc (Honours) and BApplSc Honours)) have the opportunity of winning prizes and awards for outstanding academic performances. There are also awards for graduate students.

GlaxoSmithKline Gold Medals

Awarded to:

  • The Best Student in Level 3 Chemistry



Singapore National Institute of Chemistry Gold Medal

Awarded to the Best Student in Level 4 (Honours) Chemistry.



Pfizer Gold Medal

Awarded to the Student with Best Honours Project in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Enzymatic Catalysis or Advanced Analytical Techniques.

Schering-Plough Gold Medal

Awarded to the best student in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme in Science (UROPS) in the Department of Chemistry.



Lijen Industrial Development Medal

Awarded to the honours year students with the best academic exercises/projects in each of the disciplines in the Faculty of Science.



Goh Teng Loon - Wong Kim Lo Medal

The award will be given as a form of a gold medal to the graduating chemistry student who has achieved academic excellence throughout their B.Sc. education, which typically takes three years.
