Chemistry Level 3000 Practical Registration

Please note the important dates and arrangements for the incoming Sem 2 module registrations. Students are required to bid all the CM modules via CORS and submit an appeal if they are outbidded.

Instructions to students on the registration for level 3 lab classes

IMPORTANT : Please make sure that you have successfully registered for the module on CORS before you register for the lab group.

Registration for lab group for CM3291 and CM3292 will be done through IVLE:

Timeline for registration for lab classes:

Registration via IVLE:   January 9, 2013 (11:00 am) – January 10, 2013 (2:00 pm)

Appeal cases:  
January 10, 2013 - 2pm ~ 5pm
January 11, 2013 - 9am ~12:30pm; 2pm ~ 5pm.

For appeals, student needs to fill in “Appeal Form for CM3000 Laboratory Session” and submit in person at the venue mentioned in the following table.

The finalized list will be uploaded in the module IVLE after appeals. The first lab session will start on Week 2.

The date of whole-day final examination (compulsory, no make-up):

The quota on IVLE lab group registration is smaller than the overall quota in CORS (e.g. for CM3291, 40+40<90). This is not a mistake. This is to ensure a balanced number of students per each lab session, due to limited lab space.

There will always be some students (10 + approved appeal cases via CORS), who cannot register on IVLE. These students need to submit the above-mentioned appeal forms. The appeal will be processed based on your timetable (clash) and lab vacancy available.
