1. Information
This is a family oriented event that explores the science of cooking and molecular gastronomy. Molecular gastronomy is a sub-discipline of food science that makes practical use of the physical and chemical transformations of ingredients that occur while cooking. At this event, participants will understand the science behind cooking and put it into practice by creating a new dish.
As part of NUS Chemistry Week 2015, the event will take place on the morning of 30 May 2015 (Sat) at the Department of Chemistry, NUS.


2. Participant Criteria
This event is opened to teams of 1 parent/adult and 1 child. The child should be above 5 years old.
Dress code:

  • Covered shoes
  • Long pants (no skirt / short)
  • Long hair should be tied properly.

Based on the registration time, the first 20 pairs will attend the 1st session (9-11am) and the rest will attend the 2nd session (11.30am – 1.30pm).


5. Costs and Payment Options
Registration Fee: SGD 15.00 per pair.
Payment in cash will be collected on the day of event.
