Admission Criteria

Thanks for your interest in our graduate programme. There are 2 intakes per academic year in every January and July.

Admission Requirements

Application Procedures

There are two ways of application that you can choose from.

Online Application (Strongly preferred)

Please apply via https://integral.nus.edu.sg/pif/pif_adm_web.homepage.

Hardcopy Application

  1. Download the application form and Annex A. (More information available here.)
  2. Fill up all fields in the form. Incomplete application will NOT be accepted.
  3. If you have not attended TOEFL or GRE tests (if applicable), please specify the test date and send in your application first. But, the score sheets have to be sent to us not later than 2 months after the deadline of application.
  4. Indicate your intended research area and propose at least 3 intended supervisors on the application form. Detailed information (incl. contacts) of the academic staff and their research interests can be found from the Graduate Handbook.
  5. If you are offered admission, we will try our best to assign you under one of the proposed supervisors and the area of research. Hence, please specify:
    1. Would you still be interested to work under any supervisor(s) in your proposed research area? YES/NO (please delete one)
    2. Would you still be interested to work in any research area under any assigned supervisor(s)? YES/NO (please delete one)
  6. Submit the completed application form with supporting documents to:

Application deadline

15 November for August intake or 15 May for January intake.

Registration fee

As a new policy, a registration fee will be imposed. The cost is of S$20.00 for online applications and of S$40.00 for hardcopy paper applications.

Outcome of the application will be available by end-Apr for August intakes or end-Oct for January intakes.
